We warmly welcome our new employee, Dr. Patrick Steindl! Dr. Patrick Steindl did his bachelor's and master’s degree in chemistry at the University of Vienna. After working on structural batteries during his master’s project, he decided to stay in the field of materials chemistry, pursuing a Ph.D. in Prof. Alexander Bismarck’s Polymer and Composite Engineering (PaCE) group. His work focused on the preparation of epoxide-based macroporous polymers and a thorough characterization thereof, acquiring knowledge amongst others about polymer chemistry in general, porous materials, emulsions and foams, stabilization of colloidal systems, and fluid flow in porous media. working as a chemical technical assistant (CTA) allowed him to get to know a wide range of instruments and their functionality and moreover to gather experience in managing and organizing a laboratory.
